Logic¶
Conditional Logic evaluates particle conditions and executes actions through an ordered branch and loop program.
Where to find it¶
- Lists: Effects >
Add Effect...> Logic > Conditional Logic, then edit the hierarchical Logic Tree. - Nodes: add Logic Condition, Logic Action, If / Else, Combine Conditions or a Loop Zone, then connect the resulting Program to a Conditional Logic Effect node.
Logic building blocks¶
| Building block | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Condition | evaluate particle attributes, groups, geometry or persistent data |
| Action | modify attributes, groups, lifecycle state or user data |
| If / Else | choose one of two program branches |
| Combine Conditions | construct compound boolean tests |
| Loop Zone | repeat a compatible program region with bounded iteration |
| Conditional Logic Effect | execute the completed program on the particle stream |
See Components, Logic and Physics Groups for the node connections and graph restrictions.
Conditional Logic¶
Use Conditional Logic when an action should occur only after a particle satisfies a condition. Lists use the hierarchical Logic Tree. Nodes use Logic Condition, Logic Action, If / Else and Loop Zone nodes.
The complete condition, action, loop and persistent user-data reference is in Conditional Logic.
Physics-triggered reactions such as Birth, Death, Collision Begin, FLIP Impact, MPM Impact, deformable tearing and constraint breaks are documented separately under Physics Events.
